Before going any further I have an announcement to make. The Big Tree is back. Got here a little over a week ago. I probably should have told you sooner. Anyway, it’s here and it’s all dressed up. There are lights over the fireplace, lights on the really big tree in front of our house, and lights on trees and houses and bushes all over the neighborhood.

The Doc likes to cook—I think I’ve mentioned that before. He has all kinds of pots, pans, and odd gadgets he uses, and an entire drawer full of knives. Long ones, short ones, you name it. He was all excited about a week or so ago when he got them sharpened. I know, what does this have to do with the birds? Be patient.

OK. I know. I’ve been away for a while and some of you are upset that I haven’t responded to your questions. I understand, but it hasn’t been entirely my fault. I’ve mentioned in other posts that I get some technical assistance from the Doc, right? The typing and up-loading stuff. Not paw-friendly.
